There are several attractions nearby, including the Allegrippis Trails, Trough Creek State Park, and Whipple Dam State Park. All these attractions can be found within a short driving distance of our campground. The Allegrippis Trails are actually part of Raystown Mountain Bike Skill Park. The park is small but offers some of best mountain biking trails in the entire state. There are also Mount Hermon and Six Points ski areas nearby.

The first class campsites at the lake are unmatched in proximity to the water. There are 250 campsites covering more than 100 acres. The resort does not offer a luxury RV, or a fully-serviced cabin. But you can expect to find a nice room at a reasonable price. Raystown Lake Family camping Resort offers many perks, including a catch-and-release pond, a marina and a swimming pool. There are also pet friendly rooms. It is also surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it a beautiful drive.

The lake is also surrounded by a whopping 21,000 acres of public land, much of which is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. The area is mostly protected from residential development, so it is clear that you have the best of both. Although there are a few houses that have been built, one unfortunately fell down the hill without warning. A cool thing about the resort is its dog park. The resort requires that pets be on a six-foot lead outside their vehicle.
