
Fort Welikit Family Campground, & RV Park are a new addition to the Customer SD area. It offers 100 sites that offer something for all tastes. Although it may not be as well-known as nearby Sturgis RV resorts, it offers many of those amenities you'd expect from a grand campground. Its convenient location is a big plus. If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting the Black Hills, this is one place you'll want to consider.
The Fort Welikit Family Campground & RV Park is located on the scenic Norbeck Highway. This area is home to many amazing attractions. It is also a popular place for outdoor activities like skiing, fishing and golf. The nearby town of Hot Springs is home to the famous Mammoth Site, which has yielded interesting information about the Pleistocene period. Hot Springs' Wind Cave is the only cave offering tours.

The campground offers many tent sites as well as a dog park, playground and small play area. There is also a grass volleyball court. The campground has an overhead shelter as well, which is a nice addition. You can also find an overhead shower house.
There are many amenities at the campground, including a dog park and laundry facilities. Access to the free Wi-Fi service at the campground is also possible. Although the Wi-Fi service is not the best, it is sufficient to keep you connected on the road. It may not be available on all channels.
The best thing about this park? It's located near some of the region's most fascinating attractions like Crazy Horse, Badger Clark, Jewel Cave and Badger Clark. This campground is also within walking distance to the main street of Custer. It makes it easy to get around the area. If you don't want to drive, the Crazy Horse bus leaves from the park approximately every half-hour.
Fort Welikit Family Campground was the only campground in the area to be awarded a "Great Service Star," by the South Dakota Department of Tourism. This award recognizes campgrounds that provide exceptional service and offer a wide range of amenities. You will find a fully fenced pet park, picnic table, and fire circles. This is a great spot to bike or hike.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is also held in the park during the summer. If you're in the area for the Sturgis rally, this is a fun place to stop, and the campground is a perfect basecamp for your adventures. If you're not into riding the big bikes, you can also try the many hiking trails or hit the links at nearby Black Bear Golf Course. If you don't have a reservation yet, the camp is a very popular spot during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
