The present invention provides an innovative tent assembly for combination utility/camper van trailers. The assembly can be easily set up and collapsed and can be stored in a sac-like container. Some embodiments will accept the tent assembly when it is in sleep mode. The assembly will then spring into position once the user positions the first configurable panel member.
In the first embodiment of this invention, the tent assembly is constructed from the frame assembly 214, and the tent cover 440. You can adjust the assembly to fit different sizes of utility trailers. You can adjust the brackets and supports to fit the truck's bed frame. The tent assembly210 is designed to fit within the trailer bed 14's interior. It can then be repositioned so that it will spring into place.
In another embodiment, the assembly can be placed in a removable protective bag that can then be folded into a pouch-like container. The table assembly is removably coupled to the frame assembly, and may be equipped with a lift facilitating device that helps in the setup and takedown of the assembly. The user can transport the tent assembly and place it on the activity area.
A utility trailer tent set is another embodiment of the invention. The tent kit includes a frame and several stands. There are also a multitude of brace supports. Frames are made from poles connected with angle brackets. To allow the tent's frame to be covered, a skirt is added. The skirt is secured to a channelstock. The first and third side wall poles attach to the supports. The brace supports work like struts, and they help stabilize the first configurable panel members while they are asleep.
In a fourth embodiment, the assembly is fitted into a flatbed trailer. The angle brackets are arranged in a channel stock to create a frame. The retaining unit consists a retaining rail, as well as a series of stay extensions that can be attached to the frame. The retaining rail allows the assembly to be stable on the trailer and to keep the roof from collapsing during transport. The retaining assembly can be adjusted to be able to accommodate the tent kit in a wide variety of different sized utility trailers.
