When you visit the Ichetucknee Family Campground, you have the opportunity to stay in an RV, rent cabins, and paddle the Ichetucknee River. It is located in Fort White Florida and offers many amenities.
Camping can be done in either a tent or a primitive camping area. The sewage disposal station is available for RV camping. You can also rent rafts for paddling the Ichetucknee River. A group campsite can also be booked. A large and peaceful campsite is available for those who choose to do this. You can also take advantage of the picnic tables, basketball hoop, and volleyball net.
The campground is within walking distance of the Ichetucknee State Park. Here you can go tubing, boating, and more. The river runs six miles and is clear, with transparent water. It is a great water source for swimming and flows from freshwater springs. An outdoor grill is available if you're not sure if you want to go on the river. You can also rent a canoe or kayak.

The campground is available all year. There are also fireworks available on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's. You can find a small grocery store right at the front. There are everything from cigarettes and scuba gear in the store. The general store also rents out tubes.
Campgrounds are great places to stay. But there are some things that you should keep in mind. First, be sure to read the rules. Be prepared to travel in an RV. The road is fine sand. You could slip on wet sand and cause damage to your RV. You must make sure your dogs are allowed to bark in designated areas.
Another common complaint about the bathrooms is their inadequacy. They are located next to the main building and not very convenient. It is not possible to use the toilets in large groups. The campground is not equipped with Wifi. If you want to book online, you will have to find alternative accommodation.
Smoakhouse is another option, serving the Ichetucknee community since 1994. The ranch and campground are situated on 50 acres. Enjoy hiking, fishing and even hot breakfast for just $99. The ranch also has farm animals. You can also rent fully-equipped cabins.

You will need to pay an entrance fee if you plan on visiting the Ichetucknee River. If you're not a camper, you'll need to pay a $10 entry fee. You can also rent kayaks, canoes and tubes. If you are visiting for the weekend you can reserve one or more of the 750 spots that lie along the northern side of the river. You can use the shuttle service if needed.
